The Role The Network Inventory GIS Engineer supports the organization's GIS network inventory. This role is responsible for managing small to medium network GIS inventory projects (data conversion, data migration, data cleanse), network inventory feature development, network inventory defect identification, new technology modeling, training, and general support of peer organizations use of GIS network inventory. Also responsible for creating, modifying, researching, and maintaining various types of geospatial data (polygons, KMZ , SHP ). Location This is a Work from Home position within the U.S. The Main Responsibilities
  • Essential Functions:
    Performs basic network inventory data corrections, data analysis, and redlining
  • Performs ticket closure for network inventory related tickets (TIER1)
  • Contributes to network inventory data mapping and data migrations
  • Contributes to network inventory design and feature development (user stories)
  • Performs network inventory system and script testing
  • Performs basic network inventory process analysis and process development
  • Performs small/individual project management, such as tracking project progress, identify and resolve issues, and adjust project plans as necessary
  • Contributes to release notes and features
  • Performs network inventory administration such as user maintenance
  • Contributes to network inventory training and job aid creation
  • Performs geospatial analysis

Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in GIS engineering, analysis, or network inventory.
