GIS Technician [210940] Aquent Talent - 4.0 Houston, TX Job Details $26.22 - $29.13 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Civil engineering Practicing in the surveying industry High school diploma or GED Full Job Description On Site in Houston Provides technical support to the Surveying & Right-of-Way Organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to receiving and processing customer requests for research, permits, surveys, easements and other miscellaneous land and property related services. Prepares research folders and documents findings
Job Responsibilities:
Performs initial review and request evaluation for customer service requests related to surveying and property rights and issues. Interacts with other departments on surveying and land-related matters where practical and within the limits of knowledge and training. Provides feedback based on land research and findings to internal or external customer as needed. Utilizes Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to research existing conditions and prepare standard layout maps and plots. Research property's record from internal and external land document databases. Maintains department records regarding work assignments.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Familiarity with construction terminology, documentation, and workflow. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of experience Requires basic experience in administration, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, surveying and land title level. Practical GIS or Surveying experience is a plus. #LI-ES2 #LI-Onsite
