Summary:

The Technology Director is a creative and dynamic leader charged with leading, developing and implementing the strategic planning in all areas of technology for the district. They manage budgets and E-rate funding, and ensure compliance with state data standards. This role typically combines network oversight with instructional integration to support student learning

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of state-required Child Maltreatment and background examinations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
• Prior experience preferred, ideally within an educational setting
• Experience preferred in strategic planning and network administration

Essential Duties:

• Strategic Planning:

  Develop and execute a forward-looking technology plan aligned with the district's educational mission and Arkansas state standards.

• Infrastructure Management:

  Oversee all technical aspects, including hardware, software, network security, and data systems.

• Budgeting & Funding:

  Manage technology budgets and maximize resources, including E-rate and grant opportunities.

• Curricular Integration:

  Collaborate with curriculum directors to incorporate technology tools that enhance teaching and learning.

• Data Security & Compliance:

  Ensure student and staff data privacy while ensuring compliance with state reporting regulations.
• Provide leadership in the purchase and acquisition of new technology and equipment. Consults with appropriate personnel to coordinate, evaluate, recommend and purchase new technology and equipment
• Maintain an inventory listing of all technology hardware and software in the buildings, sharing that with the administrative person in charge of fixed assets and anyone else necessary.
• Provide routine maintenance to all technology equipment.
• Any and all duties deemed necessary by the Pangburn administration, directors, and board.
• To attend required annual training
