Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and visionary Plant Manager to lead the launch and operational excellence of a new manufacturing facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of plant setup, production, quality assurance, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement lean manufacturing principles, and ensure seamless integration of systems such as SAP, ERP, and MRP to optimize supply chain management and operational efficiency. As a key leader, you will inspire teams across production, quality, IT, paint operations, and administration to achieve excellence from day one. Duties Lead the planning, construction, and commissioning of the new plant, establishing robust processes for production management and operational workflows. Develop and execute production strategies aligned with business goals, utilizing
SAP, ERP
systems, and MRP for effective production planning and supply chain analytics. Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all departments. Oversee quality control initiatives to ensure products meet stringent standards; lead process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Manage supply chain activities including procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost optimization. Supervise departmental managers—including Quality Managers, Production Engineers, Paint Supervisors, IT specialists, and Administrative staff—to foster collaboration and accountability. Drive mechanical knowledge application in maintenance planning and process optimization; promote safety standards and compliance throughout the plant. Utilize manufacturing data to analyze operations performance; identify opportunities for process enhancement using tools like Lean methodologies. Support the integration of IT systems to improve operational visibility; oversee system upgrades or implementations related to ERP or manufacturing software. Qualifications Proven experience in plant management within a manufacturing environment with a strong background in production management and operations leadership. Extensive knowledge of
SAP, ERP
systems, MRP processes, and supply chain management tools including analytics for decision-making. Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing techniques, process improvement strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly lines, paint operations (if applicable), mechanical systems, and quality control standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams such as QE (Quality Engineering), Production Managers, Quality Managers, IT specialists, Paint Supervisors, and Administrative personnel. Mechanical knowledge relevant to plant machinery maintenance and process optimization is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to develop strategic plans for new plant startup; capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving; committed to fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
