Description:
Position Summary The Junior IT Asset Manager is responsible for supporting the management, accountability, tracking, inventory, lifecycle planning, and disposal of Information Technology (IT) assets. The position ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force regulations governing IT asset accountability while maintaining accurate records of government-owned equipment and software. The Junior IT Asset Manager works closely with end users, technical staff, equipment custodians, and government personnel to support IT asset management operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain accountability records for IT hardware, software, and related equipment. Conduct initial and annual inventories of IT assets. Track asset locations, assignments, and status within inventory management systems. Ensure all accountable assets are properly labeled and documented. Maintain asset assignment records, including temporary issue documentation. Prepare excess, obsolete, or unserviceable equipment for transfer, reutilization, or disposal. Assist with lifecycle management planning and replacement forecasting. Review IT equipment requests for compatibility and justification. Maintain inventory spreadsheets, databases, and supporting documentation. Identify and document Found-on-Base (FOB) equipment. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Prepare inventory and asset management reports for government review. Coordinate with Accountable Property Officers (APOs), Equipment Custodians, and government stakeholders. Assist with software license tracking and accountability. Support Management Internal Control Toolkit (MICT) assessments and reporting requirements. Provide customer support related to IT equipment accountability and inventory management.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum three (3) years of experience in Information Technology, asset management, logistics, inventory control, property accountability, or related field. CompTIA Security+ certification required. Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1/NACI background investigation. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and recordkeeping skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PI9922c7e2648c-5333
