The Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG) enables researchers and scientists to accelerate life sciences research, solve complex analytical challenges, improve patient diagnostics, and increase laboratory productivity. As a Sr Manager, IT in BID within LSG, you'll play a crucial role in driving technological innovation that supports our mission to accelerate scientific discovery and advance healthcare.
DESCRIPTION
Initiative Ownership & Delivery Own and drive a portfolio of Commercial and Digital Marketing initiatives across BID end-to-end (strategy through execution and delivery) Translate business priorities into clear roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables Ensure initiatives are progressing against defined timelines, outcomes, and success metrics Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early and drive resolution across cross-functional teams Operate with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining alignment with broader portfolio priorities Drive alignment to existing PMO and governance processes across the BID Commercial & Marketing initiative portfolio Ensure consistent adherence to established intake, prioritization, status tracking, and reporting standards Commercial & Marketing Partnership Partner with Commercial and Marketing stakeholders across BID to align on priorities, scope, and expected outcomes Support and, where appropriate, lead revenue-driving initiatives within a defined scope Ensure strong alignment between business needs and technology capabilities Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, particularly in digital marketing and commercial processes Productivity Enablement & Process Improvement Identify and implement opportunities to improve ways of working across Commercial, Marketing, and IT teams within BID Drive improvements in planning, prioritization, and execution consistency Reduce coordination overhead and streamline cross-functional collaboration Build scalable approaches that improve efficiency without adding unnecessary process AI & Digital Enablement Identify and drive opportunities to leverage GenAI and automation to improve Commercial and Marketing processes within BID Partner with stakeholders to pilot and scale AI-driven use cases (e.g., segmentation, content generation, productivity gains) Help embed AI capabilities into day-to-day workflows to drive measurable impact
REQUIREMENTS
Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives in Commercial and/or Marketing environments Strong operator with the ability to drive execution, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in ambiguous environments Solid understanding of Commercial and Marketing processes (e.g., segmentation, campaigns, customer engagement, pipeline support) Demonstrated ability to build structure, improve processes, and scale ways of working Experience establishing or operating within PMO or program governance models (lightweight, execution-focused preferred) Experience working with or implementing GenAI / AI-enabled solutions in business processes Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across a matrixed organization Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable insights Ability to operate independently as an individual contributor while driving alignment across multiple teams

Clear ownership of initiatives with no duplication or confusion Improved execution speed and consistency across the BID portfolio Reduced meeting load and coordination overhead for stakeholders Increased visibility into priorities, progress, and outcomes Tangible impact on Commercial and Marketing performance through delivered initiatives Scalable processes that enable the organization to do more with less friction Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $143,000.00-$190,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
