You will be the person who translates what the company needs into clear, actionable technical specifications, and you will know enough about engineering to evaluate feasibility and filter out impractical ideas before they reach the developers. This is a cross-functional, high-impact role requiring strong technical judgment, sharp communication, and the ability to drive clarity under ambiguity. You will also handle on-site IT support tasks as needed. What You'll Do Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and overseas development teams Gather and analyze business requirements, then translate them into detailed, actionable technical specifications ready for development Evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed features before assigning work -- understand what is realistic given current systems and constraints Manage development backlogs and timelines across multiple projects, keeping work aligned with business priorities Coordinate across time zones with international teams; ensure requirements, feedback, and acceptance criteria are clearly understood on both sides Review technical deliverables and validate them against business requirements before sign-off Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to management Write and maintain development documentation (specs, module outlines, integration requirements) Provide on-site IT support as needed, including printer troubleshooting, device setup, and hardware procurement What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field Solid technical foundation -- you can read code, understand system architecture, and judge what is and is not buildable Demonstrated ability to write clear technical specifications that a development team can act on without back-and-forth Experience working with or directing software development teams, preferably in a cross-timezone or offshore context Confident in pushing back on impractical proposals and steering teams toward better solutions Strong written and verbal communication in English; Chinese proficiency is a strong plus given our overseas teams Organized and detail-oriented: able to manage multiple active workstreams and keep documentation current Comfortable making judgment calls independently without needing constant escalation Basic familiarity with IT hardware troubleshooting and device management Nice to Have Experience with logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or supply chain platforms Hands-on development experience in Java or PHP Familiarity with Spring Boot, ThinkPHP, or similar web frameworks Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, or similar backend technologies Understanding of REST API
design, webhook integrations, and third-party API patterns Familiarity with AWS or cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) Experience with Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, or access control Prior experience managing overseas or offshore development teams Chinese language proficiency (written) Why This Role You own the product roadmap: you define what gets built and in what order Direct line to management -- your decisions have real operational impact Work with cross-functional, international teams on meaningful business problems High autonomy in a lean, fast-moving environment where your judgment is trusted Broad exposure to both product strategy and technical execution Schedule & Location Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Fully on-site Carson, Los Angeles Pay:
