Job Summary Job Summary The Director is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving district technology systems and services that support teaching, learning, communication, business operations, data-informed decision-making, and organizational effectiveness. The Director ensures reliable, secure, and equitable access to technology resources for students and staff while supporting district priorities, future-ready learning environments, digital citizenship, and operational excellence. The Director serves as a collaborative partner with district leadership, Educational Services, site administrators, staff, students, families, community organizations, and outside agencies to ensure technology systems and services support instructional goals, administrative operations, and long-range district planning. The Director operates within the framework of Board policies, administrative regulations, California Education Code, applicable state and federal laws, and district procedures. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, business administration, educational technology, or a related field. Increasingly responsible experience in technology leadership, information systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, or related technology operations. Experience leading complex technology projects, enterprise systems implementations, operational initiatives, and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Valid California Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in information systems, business administration, educational technology, public administration, or a related field. Experience in a K-12 public education environment. Experience with instructional technology systems, digital learning platforms, cybersecurity programs, E-Rate, and enterprise education systems. Experience supporting future-ready learning initiatives, digital citizenship, learner-centered instructional practices, and emerging technologies. Professional certifications such as Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL), CITE CTO certification, CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or related technology leadership certifications. Experience supervising technical or support personnel.
