Job Description

THE POSITION
The BRM Manager is a supervisory-level position within the IT Service Delivery Division responsible for overseeing the operations, performance, and service delivery outcomes of the Business Relationship Management Office (BRMO). Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, this role implements divisional priorities and supports alignment between technology services and departmental business needs. This position serves in both a supervisory and operational capacity. The BRM Manager directly supervises Business Systems Analyst (BSA) staff and is responsible for workload coordination, performance management, coaching, staff development, and maintaining a collaborative, customer-focused team environment. The BRM Manager also oversees core BRMO functions, including governance committee coordination, departmental IT portfolio oversight, IT solicitation guidance, and facilitating the translation of departmental business continuity requirements into disaster recovery technology planning and portfolio recommendations. This role is responsible for establishing BRMO policies and procedures, refining IT Intake and Demand management processes, and maturing the program against industry standards. The BRM Manager works in close partnership with the ITSM, PMO and EUS to align cross-functional processes and ensure a seamless experience for business unit customers. As an ITIL-aligned organization, this position is expected to champion ITIL 4 principles and apply value stream management practices to improve service delivery quality and efficiency. This is a high-visibility position requiring sound independent judgment, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to drive results through both direct authority and organizational influence. IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a results-driven IT professional who brings a demonstrated combination of supervisory leadership and Business Relationship Management (BRM) program ownership. They have a proven track record of directly managing Business System Analyst (BSA) or BRM teams, maturing a BRM program, and leading governance structures that drive alignment between IT and business unit partners. This individual is experienced in managing departmental IT portfolios, refining demand and intake processes, guiding solicitation efforts, and supporting business continuity planning in collaboration with business stakeholders. They work effectively across organizational boundaries; partnering with the IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Management Office (PMO) and End User Services (EUS) to align programs and processes and bring applied knowledge of ITIL 4 and value stream management to continuously improve service delivery. A skilled communicator and trusted advisor, this individual is equally effective engaging frontline analysts, department leaders, and executive stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Information Technology or related field.
Experience:
Six (6) years of information technology systems and/or application development and support experience including two (2) years of project lead or supervisory responsibility.
Note:
Additional experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the educational requirement.

Applicants may be required to possess a valid California Driver's License, Class C. Some positions in this class will require technical certifications demonstrating expertise in specific bodies of knowledge.
