Our company is rapidly growing and in need of more help. We are looking for a self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, persistent & ambitious individual who has the passion and desire to succeed. Job Responsibilities 1. Web Server Management The primary goal is to ensure that websites and web applications are fast, accessible, and stable.

Installation & Configuration:

Setting up server software (such as Apache, Nginx, or IIS) and optimizing them for the specific operating system (Linux or Windows).

Performance Monitoring:

Tracking uptime, load speeds, and resource usage (CPU, RAM, and bandwidth) to prevent crashes during high-traffic periods.

Deployment:

Managing the "pipeline" that moves code from development to the live server, often using tools like Git or Docker.

Resource Allocation:

Managing virtual machines or cloud instances (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure the hardware scales with the site's needs. 2. Email Server Management This role ensures that internal and external communications are delivered without delay while maintaining privacy.

Protocol Management:

Configuring and maintaining SMTP (sending), POP3, and IMAP (receiving) protocols.

Mailbox Administration:

Creating, migrating, and deleting user accounts, as well as managing storage quotas and archival systems.

Filtering & Hygiene:

Implementing robust anti-spam and anti-malware filters to prevent malicious emails from reaching end-users.

Authentication & Deliverability:

Setting up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to verify the server's identity, ensuring that outgoing emails don't end up in recipients' spam folders. 3. Web Security Management This is a critical, cross-functional duty that protects both the web and email environments from cyber threats.

SSL/TLS Management:

Provisioning and renewing digital certificates to ensure all data transmitted is encrypted (the "HTTPS" in a browser).

Firewall & WAF Oversight:

Configuring Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to block SQL injections, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and DDoS attacks.

Vulnerability Scanning:

Regularly testing the servers for "holes" or outdated software that hackers could exploit.

Incident Response:

Developing and executing a plan to recover data and restore services in the event of a breach or a ransomware attack.

Access Control:

Implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and "Least Privilege" access, ensuring users and admins only have access to the specific data they need for their jobs. Core Skills 1. Web Server Management Nginx, Apache, AWS, Linux 2. Email Server Management Microsoft Exchange, Postfix, M365 3. Web Security Management Firewalls, SSL, CrowdStrike, Vault Ideal candidate: 2+ years experience in IT or related fields Background in video surveillance, CCTV, or IT Networking Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences Excellent problem solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility Strong organizational and follow up skills

Pay:

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
