Control number 870379600 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Help As first line supervisor, the incumbent reviews assignments and advises the CIO concerning the time and staff requirements, priorities and any exceptional project characteristics Installs and maintains software and hardware, control current versions and future releases of applicions software, and document the physical configurion of all informion systems. Develops and maintains procedures for system operions and product assembly and installion. Performs periodic audits and reviews to ensure STIGS have been properly implemented. Plans, develops, and implements security techniques, procedures and guidance to ensure th user access control (physical, personnel, software, and informion security) and other security requirements are in place. Identifies the problem and provide expert technical advice on new or improved informion technology and procedures and determines is improvement of current systems is required. Serves as a technical expert performing feasibility studies, which involve applicion of emerging computer technology to resolve unique user network requirements. Plans work to be accomplished by subordines, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordines based on priorities; evalues work performance; gives advice, counsel or instruction to employees on both work and administrive mters. Reviews the acquisition and implemention of new system hardware and software and develops opering procedures. A Personnel Security Investigion is required. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determinion of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the durion of employment. A background investigion and credit check are required. One-year supervisory probionary period required. A one-year probionary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement. Selectees required to sign a stement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinions or must provide a recognized exemption. Immunizion screening is required. Hepitis B immunizion is required for all positions with direct pient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizions depending on the type of position. One year of specialized experience which includes implementing IT hardware and software systems, providing direct supervision and professional development for technical teams and training staff on the operion and maintenance of new systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12. The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, informion technology reled experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as approprie) which demonstres each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about tending to detail.
