POSITION SUMMARY
Maintain the functionality of the cloud and onsite infrastructure, including servers, workstations, virtual networks, software, hardware, and peripherals as a Systems Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Resolve software, network, and cloud-related operating problems. Provide advanced onsite technical services and technical education to PC and mobile phone users. Responsible for comprehensive cybersecurity, cloud security, network and wireless connectivity, VoIP, firewalls, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and all onsite and offsite servers, domain controllers, and cloud platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Communicate and work closely with the 3rd party application vendors for the integration with the company's business applications. 2. Install, configure, and support all related hardware, software, virtualization platforms, and network connectivity. 3. Maintain virtual and cloud-based environments (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud platforms), including web servers, email systems, backups, terminal servers, domain controllers, microservice (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), automation (Ansible, etc.) and Linux servers, ensuring systems stay secure and available. 4. Monitor and address security threats by applying patches, updates, and security controls, and helping educate users when needed. 5. Troubleshoot day-to-day servers and communication issues, including Apple iPhones, VoIP systems, and mobile devices. 6. Use scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to simplify system administration and routine tasks. 7. Cross-training team members and take on additional responsibilities as needed. 8. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems, security, virtualization, and cloud services.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 1-3 years of experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or IT support roles.
  • Experience supporting and administering hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS) including virtual networking and security policy.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and M365 administration, including cloud-native security controls and conditional access.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, security hardening) and Windows Server environments, including Windows Server versions and Windows 10/11.
  • Familiarity with containerization concepts and microservice architecture using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, web technologies, Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, SCCM, KMS, cloud servers, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff members.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and nights, as necessary.
  • Ability to work in high elevation areas exceeding 150 feet in an industrial environment
  • Ability to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid California driver's license.
  • Ability to climb stairs and traversing uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, reach, pull, push, and lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Verbal and hearing skills sufficient to understand English and work safely
  • Some travel may be required.
