Job Description
JSG is seeking a looking for a strategic, forward-thinking IT Director for our client's technology initiatives and manage the IT team. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive IT strategies aligned with our business objectives, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and innovation. A successful candidate will be a proactive leader with a track record of implementing scalable solutions, driving technological growth, and fostering a high-performance IT culture.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Design and implement a multi-year IT roadmap to support business growth, digital transformation, and competitive advantage.
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of all IT systems, including network architecture, cloud solutions, and hardware infrastructure.
Team Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a team of IT managers and staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Establish and enforce robust security protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to data privacy laws and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, FERPA).
Budgeting & Procurement:
Manage the IT budget effectively, negotiate vendor contracts, and oversee investments in technology to maximize ROI.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs, develop solutions, and enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree (MBA or MS) preferred. 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3-5 years in senior leadership or managerial roles. Expertise in network architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, WMS, Shopify), and cybersecurity frameworks. Strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, or vendor-specific (Cisco, Microsoft, Azure) certifications are highly desirable. Physical & Safety Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and stand/walk as needed. Ability to perform work safely, adhering to all safety protocols to protect self and others.
