Director of Information Technology at Gorman Learning Center - Redlands, San Bernardino Print Application Deadline 6/24/2026 11:55 AM Pacific Date Posted 6/10/2026 Contact Alma Torres Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay Range $95,904.00 - $167,586.25 Annually Length of Work Year 12 Months Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary The Director of Information and Technology is responsible for performing executive management level work in information and technology services. The person in this position is responsible for leading, directing, managing, and supervising the administration and operations of Gorman Learning Charter Network's Information Technology department. Assist students, teachers, and other staff in the use of computers, tablets and mobile devices, audio-visual equipment, software, and related peripherals devices. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Plans, prepares, implements, and administers departmental budgets; monitors and ensures adherence to established operating and expenditure parameters. In alignment with our talent development, qualified internal candidates will be given priority consideration for this position before external applicants.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Programming, Computer Science, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of people management experience
  • Two (2) years of program management experience
  • An equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience

  • Evaluates, forecasts, and provides recommendations for computer equipment and systems; plans and implements new hardware and software systems, applications and programs for GLCN
  • Provides technical expertise; administers the procurement and implementation of technology systems and resources
  • Manages GLCN's communications including web portals, broadcast system, social and print media and others
  • Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long-range plans; gathers, interprets and prepares data for studies, reports and recommendations
  • Writes performance evaluations, handles employee complaints and grievances; recommends the hiring, promotion or termination of staff
  • Maintains current knowledge of issues, trends, and developments in Information Technology
  • Manage technology infrastructure
  • Develops and manages policies and procedures relating to Information Systems, Security, Communications and GIS
  • Engages in visioning and developing solutions for GLCN to improve productivity through Information Systems
  • Builds relationships and leads departments in system use and business analysis review
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades desktop hardware and peripherals to include, network cards, printers, modems, mice, and add-in boards
  • Plans, prepares, implements, and administers departmental budgets; monitors and ensures adherence to established operating and expenditure parameters
  • Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position Requirements / Qualifications
