JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, andpliance of thepany's telmunications systems, which support service operations, customer engagement, and administrative workflows, epassing voice, data, and accessibility services, including TTY. This role involves developing and implementing thepany's telmunications infrastructure, including installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, PBX, and Centermunication systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategy and Planning Manage and administrate entire telmunications infrastructure and its associated software, including Center, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response, and video conferencing systems. Develop long range telmunications development plans in accordance with stated business strategy. Design and oversee telmunications projects with a goal to improve or expand the current infrastructure. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for telmunication systems administration and appropriate use. Work with end users to establish service level agreements based on user requirements. Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant), make rmendations, and execute them as require. Acquisition and Deployment Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of telmunications equipment procurement and development efforts. Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to securemunications products and services in a timely and professional manner. Administer all contracts for telmunications equipment and services. Prepare telmunications budget rmendations. Operational Management Administer add, move, and change requests from end users as well as new line installations as required. Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for telmunications traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telmunications systems. Generate telmunications usage and inventory reports as required. Conduct testing and development of disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systems. Oversee and implement the acquisition and installation of state-of-the-art telmunications equipment. TTY and Accessibility Services. Configure, maintain, and test TTY-TDD devices and relay services. Ensure TTY systems are integrated with call routing, auto attendants, and emergency lines. Train staff on proper use of TTY equipment and relay protocols.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 5 years of hands-on Network Engineer and Extensive experience in network design and deployment. Or 10 years of experience in lieu of.
