THE ROLE
As the Manager of IT, you're the captain of our IT ship. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you'll lead a team of 3 technicians and own the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable IT services across our managed IT client base of approximately 75 small businesses. Our clients are mostly 5 to 15 endpoints, with our largest at 28. If you love keeping things running smoothly, solving complex tech problems, and building something that's actually yours, this one's for you. You'll set technical direction for a growing department, manage SLAs and incident response, and shape what IT looks like at SI for years to come. Core hours are 9 AM to 5 PM EST with flexibility. There is an on-call component for after-hours client needs, though it's manageable and not constant. As the IT department grows, so does this role.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities:
Own IT operations and service delivery across managed IT clients Oversee troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues Manage client onboarding and offboarding processes Ensure accurate documentation and operational consistency Enforce security and compliance standards
Specific Tasks:
Lead weekly ticket queue reviews and ensure SLAs are on track Conduct weekly 1:1s with IT team members Serve as escalation point for complex or high-impact client issues Review and approve documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base updates Coordinate managed IT client onboarding and offboarding Monitor and enforce security and compliance standards across client environments Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours client escalations
Tools & Environment:
Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration RMM and PSA platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto, or similar) Endpoint management, networking hardware, and security tooling across small business environments
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
3-5+ years of IT support experience, with at least 1-2 years in a team lead or supervisory role Strong technical proficiency across endpoints, Microsoft 365/Azure, networking, and security fundamentals Experience managing a help desk or managed services team in a client-facing environment Demonstrated ability to manage SLAs, ticket workflows, and service delivery standards Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field preferred; CompTIA Network+, Security+, ITIL certifications a plus

PAY & PERKS Salary Range:
$65,000
- $80,000 per year, based on experience.
Billable Expectation:
40-55% client-facing support, escalations, and project oversight But that's not all!
