The ideal candidate will provide portfolio‑level leadership for IT service delivery and governance, designing and operating intake, prioritization, and reporting processes that align investments with strategic objectives. This role is well suited for someone who excels at guiding teams through complex governance environments, synthesizing financial and operational data into clear insights, and partnering with senior leaders to continuously improve service delivery outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Providing senior SME support for IT service delivery and portfolio governance. Designing, implementing, and operating formal intake, triage, and prioritization processes. Assessing incoming work for strategic alignment, feasibility, and resource impact. Coordinating prioritization and workload sequence with Government leadership. Supporting investment governance activities. Developing and maintaining governance deliverables and executive reporting. Integrating financial, operational, and delivery data for decision‑ready reporting. Overseeing and guiding contractor staff in performing intake, governance, and portfolio support. Identifying portfolio risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs and elevating as required. Supporting continuous improvement of service delivery and governance processes. Preparing executive‑level briefings and analytical products for leadership. Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client. Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field PMP certification
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Fifteen or more years of experience supporting federal IT service delivery and portfolio management, including portfolios with multiple concurrent programs and stakeholders Fifteen or more years of senior advisory experience supporting CIOlevel or Directoratelevel leadership Experience with enterprise portfolio governance, intake, and prioritization Experience with CPIC, FITARA, and federal IT investment oversight Experience supporting governance processes Experience with the integration of financial, schedule, and performance data for decision support Experience with oversight and supervision of contractor staff who support intake and portfolio functions Must have the ability to obtain the client's suitability Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AIassisted tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills A highly motivated selfstarter Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An ITIL, Agile, SAFe, or similar certification preferred Direct experience supporting CBP OIT is strongly preferred
