American Panel Corporation is a growing local manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment. We are seeking an individual to manage our Information Technology Systems, (ITS Manager) The ITS Manager for American Panel Corporation is primarily responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and security of computer/server/database infrastructure and applications. The Systems Manager is also responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and security of associated computer/server/database systems such as file backup systems, VOIP systems, and other related networking components. The Systems Manager ensures that corporation applications and infrastructure meet the requirements of both internal and external users/customers in addition to making sure supported systems satisfy corporation objectives for security and uptime.
Duties:
Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade computer/server/database and storage area networks. Monitor and maintain server-side and client-side software systems throughout their lifecycles. Ensure that software update levels and system configuration are maintained to current standards. Diagnose and resolve complex system errors. Perform routine audits of computer systems and software. Create comprehensive plans for business continuity and coordinate the rollout of computer upgrades and other large changes with users. Conduct monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network infrastructure problems. Ensure servers and office files are backed up appropriately and that the backups are periodically tested successfully. Analyze system logs to identify potential issues with computer systems and network security. Be proactive in communicating with vendors to get the latest information on hardware and software. Deploy, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, security devices/software and databases. Translate user needs and business processes into technical requirements. Develop documentation, policies and procedures for the installation, maintenance, and use of computer systems and associated network devices. Make recommendations and implement solutions to improve system functionality, performance, and stability. Perform day-to-day system administration tasks and take corrective action to ensure system uptime. Perform other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience with IT infrastructure systems and application administration preferred. Knowledge of Windows Server deployment, maintenance, administration, and security. Knowledge of ERP software function and utilization (Macola ERP Software) Knowledge of database maintenance and administration procedures and common policies. Knowledge of common networking protocols, services, and security layers. Knowledge of VMware/ vSphere and associated software Knowledge of WatchGuard Firewall devices and associated software. Experience with IP telephony and associated hardware. Strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business awareness. Must be willing to work beyond normal hours of operation. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and with the written word. Must be able to Pass a Criminal Background Screening and Drug Screening Flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends.
