TITLE:
Technology Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's Degree and State of Iowa teaching license. 2. Proficient in written and oral communication and utilization of technology. 3. Experience with technology integration. 4. Knowledge of Macintosh and Windows platforms. 5. Knowledge of networking.
REPORTS TO
Superintendent
JOB GOAL
To provide each student and employee with appropriate technology systems and training.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops and updates the District technology plan as part of the comprehensive school improvement plan in conjunction with the Superintendent. 2. Develops and implements appropriate procedures relating to the utilization of technology in the District. 3. Ensures compliance with District-wide software and hardware standards. 4. Studies, recommends and collaborates with technology consultants on the acquisition, operation and maintenance of WANs, LANs, Internet access, e-mail servers, building servers, District servers, and automated library and meal systems. 5. Collaborates on curriculum development and instruction regarding the use of District technology. 6. Coordinates technology staff development and training to develop a technology-competent workforce. 7. Coordinates District inventory records of hardware and software. 8. Develops and maintains an effective level of communication with appropriate personnel. 9. Performs such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Superintendent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing-pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Hazards include stairs and exposure to communicable diseases.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Superintendent.
