We are scaling beyond $20M in revenue and are building a team focused on profitability, execution, and smart growth. The Role The Procurement & Margin Manager (IT) is not a traditional purchasing role and and requires a profit-driven procurement professional who understands that every deal has margin opportunity. The role works directly with sales, vendors, and distributors to increase gross profit, secure better pricing, and drive bottom-line performance. If you're someone who negotiates hard, pushes vendors, and treats pricing like a strategy—not an admin task—this role is for you. Responsibilities Own procurement strategy across hardware, software, and services Review and optimize pricing on all deals above defined thresholds Negotiate aggressively with OEMs, distributors, and partners (e.g., Cisco, Dell, etc.) Secure special pricing, deal registrations, rebates, and MDF Identify margin improvement opportunities on every quote Work closely with sales to balance competitiveness and profitability Build and manage vendor relationships to unlock better pricing tiers Compare multiple suppliers to ensure best cost structure Track and report margin improvements, savings, and vendor incentives Enforce pricing discipline and procurement best practices internally Qualifications 3+ years in IT procurement, sourcing, or vendor management Experience with VAR, MSP, or IT reseller environments strongly preferred Proven ability to negotiate pricing and improve margins Strong understanding of IT products (networking, servers, endpoints, licensing) Experience working with distributors (e.g., Ingram, TD SYNNEX, D&H, etc.) Ability to push back, challenge pricing, and escalate when needed Highly analytical with strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a fastpaced, dealdriven environment Success Metrics Increase in gross margin % across deals Total incremental profit generated Vendor rebates and incentives captured % of deals improved through procurement involvement Cost savings vs standard/vendor pricing Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
