Vincent de Paul School in Fort Wayne is looking for a full time Technology Director, supporting both school and parish staff. The Technology Director will be responsible for integrating the mission of St. Vincent's and the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend in all school and parish operations regarding our use of technology. This position reports to the school administrative team and the Parish Business Manage.

Job Responsibilities:

Understands, believes in, and communicates joyfully about the St. Vincent's mission and belief statements in all endeavors. Reports to school administration and Parish Business Manager to implement vision and goals for technology use, safety, and academic growth Leads technology staff, providing vision and work organization structure to support school and parish mission. Our technology staff includes full and part time personnel. Provides or coordinates all training for technology systems (devices, software, etc.) for individual teachers, grade level teams, and school Faculty as a whole, and for parish staff. Ensures all teacher needs/concerns with technology in the classroom are understood and addressed

• can help teachers address technology belief statement effectively. Assists in assessing and tracking technology skill levels of students and staff; uses this data to support the professional growth of staff. Shows ongoing and timely responses to needs as they are communicated via tickets or radio calls, either providing direct response or coordinating staff to do so.
• Proactively identifies and corrects technical issues as they arise
• seeks to solve minor problems before larger problems grow from those.
• Stays abreast of current technology trends, teaching strategies, and educational best practices
• assesses and provides input for technology resource purchases.

Manages technology budget and technology purchases, as directed by school administration and Parish Business Manager, and in consultation with Accounts Payable Manager on office staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in education or appropriate field Successful experience in technology use in education, with direct school technology leadership experience preferred Positive references and recommendations Clear ability to promote and witness to our Roman Catholic Faith Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals and objectives Please see job description above.
