Since 1966, HBHA has served the Greater Kansas City Jewish community by cultivating generations of Jewish independent and ethical thinkers, determined to reach their greatest potential and have a positive impact on the world. We provide a nurturing, collaborative, and joyful environment that supports the emotional, spiritual, academic, and physical growth of our students. Description of Role Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) is looking for a hands-on part-time IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day technology operations of the school. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all things technology — managing our physical and digital infrastructure, working alongside our third-party IT support partner, and ensuring our teachers and staff have the tools they need to do their best work. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position that blends strategic thinking with practical, on-the-ground execution. This role is expected to be part-time with the expectation of 20-24 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison with our third-party IT support company, K12 ITC, to resolve technical issues quickly and keep classrooms running smoothly Onboard new staff/faculty/administration in establishing email, FACTS login, printing, etc Manage and maintain the school's physical technology inventory, including devices, network equipment, and AV systems Research, source, and coordinate the replacement of aging or end-of-life hardware Identify tech debt and inefficiencies, then develop and implement practical solutions within budget Create and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides Train staff on technology best practices to maximize the effectiveness of existing tools Coordinate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing and service agreements Collaborate with school leadership to understand and support evolving technology needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or 2+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Exchange Server Comfortable managing technical vendor relationships and delegating tasks appropriately Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical staff Organized, self-directed, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a school environment Preferred Qualities in a
