Aug 31, 2026 Job Description St. Mary of the Annunciation School is seeking a dedicated and resourceful educator to lead our technology initiatives, teach students in grades 3-8, work with colleagues to integrate technology in the classroom, and maintain and grow the makerspace. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Deliver engaging technology lessons for grades 3-8, helping students develop digital skills and hands-on creativity.
  • Technology Integration Support:
    Assist teachers with integrating technology into their classrooms. Support teachers who use the makerspace for project-based learning, troubleshooting technology issues, and assist students as needed.
  • Makerspace Management:
    Ability to keep track of and maintain shared resources for all students and teachers.
  • Invention Convention Coordination:
    Collaborate with the middle school science teacher to host an annual Invention Convention for grades 6-8.
  • Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills by modeling a maker mindset and nurturing iterative, student-led discovery.
An ideal candidate is able to balance structured instruction with fostering student independence, critical thinking, and innovation.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience teaching technology or STEAM subjects, ideally with some makerspace background. Familiarity with PCs, Apple devices, and Chromebooks. Familiarity with 3D printing, computer-controlled cutting machine (Cricut), heat press, and LEGO robotics. Bachelors Degree in educational technology, Masters Degree preferred 3 years of experience preferred
