Senior Media Technology Specialist Technology Client Services Salary Range:
$81,000â"$90,500 Are you passionate about designing technology experiences that transform how people learn, collaborate, and connect? Join our team as a Senior Media Technology Specialist and help shape the future of technology-enabled learning and collaboration across campus. This is more than an A/V role. We are looking for a strategic, technically skilled leader who can bring vision to lifeâ"someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading large-scale projects, mentoring others, and implementing cutting-edge media technologies that directly impact students, faculty, staff, and campus communities. As a senior member of our Technology Client Services team, you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert and project leader responsible for advancing classroom technology, hyflex learning environments, digital signage, event spaces, and campus-wide media initiatives. What You Will Do Lead Technology Projects That Shape Campus Experiences You will oversee and execute projects that create and enhance technology-enabled spaces across campus, including classrooms, meeting environments, and event venues.
Responsibilities include:
Leading implementation and refresh projects for traditional and hyflex learning environments Managing installation efforts from planning through deployment and completion Coordinating vendors, integration partners, contractors, and campus stakeholders Maintaining project documentation, reporting metrics, and tracking outcomes Developing user training and instructional programs to ensure successful adoption Driving communication and accountability across project teams Design and Advance Innovative Technology Solutions You will research emerging technologies and help define the future direction of media and A/V services by: Recommending and designing next-generation classroom and collaboration technologies Supporting media computing, presentation systems, sound reinforcement, and video services Programming and configuring control systems and integrated technologies Serving as a consultant and technology advisor for campus initiatives Supporting sustainability efforts, technology lifecycle planning, digital signage, and hospitality-related initiatives Provide Technical Leadership and Mentor Others You will act as a senior escalation point and guide the operational excellence of media services by: Leading resolution of advanced media and A/V incidents and escalations Performing expert troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance Improving support workflows and escalation processes Coaching and mentoring junior staff, student employees, and contracted resources Helping build a collaborative, service-focused team culture What Makes You Successful You are equally comfortable leading a project meeting, programming technology systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and mentoring colleagues. You bring both strategic thinking and hands-on expertise.
Ideal candidates possess:
Strong project management and organizational skills Deep knowledge of digital and analog signal flow Experience with hyflex technologies and traditional A/V environments Expertise in audio systems, DSP technologies, and control system programming Strong communication and relationship-building abilities The ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities A collaborative and customer-focused mindsetÂ
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred 5â"8 years of related professional experience Valid driver's license Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to independently establish priorities and make recommendationsÂ
