Description IT Operations Manager Position Summary:
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all technology operations across the organization. This role provides strategic leadership, ensures system reliability and security, and manages day-to-day IT operations. The IT Manager will lead internal IT staff, manage vendors, and ensure alignment between technology and business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the organization's IT operations and strategy
Oversee Microsoft 365 environment, including security, access, and configuration
Manage IT staff, including support personnel and future hires
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards
Ensure cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, and monitoring
Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes and system access controls
Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and reliability
Manage IT budget, forecasting, and cost optimization
Lead IT projects and system improvements
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and configurations
Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
Communicate IT performance and initiatives to executive leadership
Maintain a positive, service-oriented relationship with all staff
Support organizational mission and operational needs Core Systems focus:
Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID)
Identity and access management
Endpoint/device management
Security tools and monitoring systems
Vendor-managed infrastructure (network, internet, etc.
)
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in IT operations or systems administration
2+ years in a leadership or senior-level role
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security
Experience managing vendors and IT projects
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff
Preferred:
Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
Familiarity with endpoint management and security tools
Experience building or scaling IT operations
Education:
