Full Job Description Position Summary:
Leads cross-functional teams for IT categories resulting in procurement decisions delivering the highest quality, reliability, lowest risk, and highest value to meet requirements, directs the activities associated with the SCMG managed global spend for a designated commodity category. Responsible for identification and evaluation of global or regional opportunities within the Commodity Category for reduction of spend, consolidation of process or suppliers, function and continuity of supply or service. Manages the Contracts within the Commodity category and reports the metrics associated with them. Delivers continuous improvement in cost, process and services within the commodity category. Coordinates sourcing process and negotiates agreements, using a strategic sourcing methodology. This includes industry research, supplier qualification, RFI, and RFP activities. Additionally, supports negotiation activities designed to deliver cost savings through supplier and contract management or services restructuring. Generates recommendations based on Total Cost of Ownership comparisons. Monitors and reports on activities associated with named commodity category.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and negotiates commercial terms within IT/Telecom purchasing contracts, including associated maintenance agreements for all regions where operates Identifies and communicates approved sources for IT products and services. Identifies opportunities for global leverage of volumes and purchasing power. Monitors the contribution of the assigned Commodity to departmental results Is familiar with key cost drivers and industry related events tied to assigned category. Obtains and analyzes quotes or proposals, develops negotiation plans, with some guidance, to determine best value, then recommends global sourcing solutions based on data and facts collected. Manages Ariba catalog setup/program for IT suppliers, to support an overarching preferred supplier strategy Monitors performance of the suppliers to ensure attainment of objectives in quality, delivery, service, and cost Ensures results for Commodity Categories tie closely to Corporate Objectives. Acts as liaison for SCMG to the Information Technology (IT) Department for IT. Maintains pipeline status updates to show progress towards goals and objectives Presents special assignments results, project updates and such to management as required. All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
5 - 7 years' experience working in IT/Purchasing, to include negotiation and contract experience, Global experience a plus Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management or related field Strong team player, able to work effectively on cross-functional teams. Ability to engage others directly/indirectly in discussion and 'sell' sourcing/procurement value-added services Ability to juggle multiple projects/processes, prioritize activities and take action with little oversight Understanding of general concepts of process mapping, change management, and foundational activities needed to strategically support management of IT spend program Ability to take on tactical activities as well as lend support/assistance to strategic efforts Analytical skills as it relates to cost/value reviews, assessments, and reporting Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Maintains an organized and professional manner when representing Willing to travel globally as required (estimate 10%).
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
