ASAP About the Role The IT Infrastructure specialist oversees the lifecycle of an organization's IT assets, ensuring efficient use, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals. He or she ensures that an organization's IT assets are well-organized, compliant, cost-effective, and strategically aligned. This role is critical for maximizing the value of IT investments, mitigating risks, and supporting overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities Manage IT Asset Lifecycle:
Oversee all stages of IT hardware and software assets, including planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and secure disposal to maximize value and minimize risk.
Inventory Management:
Maintain a centralized, accurate record of all hardware, software, and cloud assets, including licenses, contracts, and warranties.
Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
Ensure adherence to licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies to prevent legal or financial penalties.
Vendor and Procurement Management:
Coordinate with vendors to optimize IT asset procurement, negotiate contracts, and manage service agreements to secure the best value for the organization.
Performance Analysis:
Monitor IT asset performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or replacements. Technical knowledge - Understand IT infrastructure, licensing models, and IT Asset Management software to manage and troubleshoot assets effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with IT, finance, and procurement teams to align asset management with organizational goals and budget constraints.
Reporting and Documentation:
Provide regular reports on asset status, investments, and lifecycle metrics to support strategic decision-making. Required Skills and Qualifications 1-3 years+ experience in IT asset management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, lifecycle management, and ITAM principles. Familiarity with compliance standards, software licensing, and regulatory requirements. Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively. Analytical skills to assess IT asset performance and optimize IT investments. Strong organizational, project management, customer service and communication skills. Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams, executives, and external suppliers. Experience administering enterprise-scale ITAM system consoles and dashboards. Software License Management risk assessment and compliance (SAM) experience. Preferred Skills and Qualifications CITAM, CHAMP, HAM, SAM, ITIL, Microsoft or similar certifications. Experience managing shadow IT and unsanctioned SaaS in large-scale retail environments. Proven record of implementing ITAM strategy covering entire IT asset lifecycles at scale.
Pay:
