Job Description

Plant IT Manager - Kansas City Assembly Kansas City, MO, United States (On-site) Job Description The Plant IT Manager at KCAP is responsible for all IT applications and services on-site, including planning, implementation and support of all IT systems and physical infrastructure. This position requires a solid working knowledge of Windows server, Server hardware support, Windows Client support, Help desk, Cisco Network support, project management and superb people skills. KCAP runs a multiple-shift operation, with two plants running a multi-crew (24x7) building a variety of products. KCAP is home of the Ford F150, and Ford Transit. KCAP is the one of the most complex plants in Ford Motor Company consisting of two discreet assembly plants and a stamping plant. The demanding and highly visible position requires strong leadership and technical skills, off-hour, weekend, and holiday coverage as required by the business needs. Responsibilities "Run and Protect" all IT services at the site, including data centers, network equipment, servers, PCs, mobile devices, and applications. These devices include UPS, Power Distribution Units, fire alarm systems, Cisco switches/routers, load balancers, access points, locate sensors, Windows/Linux servers, ESX servers, Windows/Mac OS devices, DXDs, Process Control Boards, Cisco IP/iphone/android phones along with off the shelf, Ford, and some local applications. Support plant floor equipment throughout the facility (plant floor, overhead conveyors, in steel), outbuildings and in remote lots where applicable. Knowledge of Wireless networks and ability to assist in troubleshooting WiFi/Bluetooth issues.
Plant networks:
OA, MPN and CPN. ACLs and PLCs.
Virus protection software:
Symantec, FireEye, and Data Center Security Sharepoint to manage and assist plant with sites and to ensure security compliance. Align plant and business for production changes/updates/outages. Ensure parties understand timing/impact. Support major business and IT initiatives such as New Model Program launches, hardware/infrastructure/application upgrades, facility changes, IIOT and end user productivity launches. Develop plans to meet critical timing, rollout/rollback/contingency plans and minimize any impact to production To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of IT systems and be comfortable working with a variety of hardware and software applications. Manage development of self and team, including technical, leadership skill development and goal setting, and building team succession plans Participate in cyber security initiatives including remediation of cyber issues Create and cultivate a safe and inclusive environment. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels (LL+ to PS) within IT, business, vendors, and union-represented resources. Possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all actions Functional Business Knowledge of Manufacturing, MP&L, IT Ability to balance numerous projects and requests Ability to drive to root cause and work to develop monitoring/preventative measures Ability to quickly learn new technologies and applications and adjust to business needs People Leadership - Mentoring, advising, work assignments Work efficiently and effectively with diverse, cross functional teams under stressful circumstances Motivated self-starter Identifying, investigating & solving problems without supervision Manufacturing experience is strongly desired. This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
