Full-Time About Us Hi-Ball Trucking is a growing transportation and logistics company committed to delivering reliable service while leveraging technology to improve operations, safety, and customer experience. We are seeking a hands-on IT professional who can own and manage our technology environment while supporting employees across the organization. We have offices in Billings MT and Bozeman MT and are open to hiring in either location. Some travel between offices will be necessary occasionally. Position Summary The IT Manager / Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and improving all company technology systems, providing end-user support, managing vendors, ensuring cybersecurity best practices, and helping drive technology initiatives that support business growth. This is a highly visible role that works closely with leadership and operations teams to ensure technology is reliable, secure, and aligned with business goals. Responsibilities Manage and support company computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network equipment Administer Microsoft 365, user accounts, email, security policies, and licensing Maintain company networks, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and firewalls Provide day-to-day technical support for office and remote employees Manage cybersecurity practices including endpoint protection, backups, MFA, access controls, and employee training Coordinate with software and technology vendors Support transportation-related technology platforms, telematics systems, ELDs, fleet tracking solutions, and operational software Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues Develop and maintain IT documentation, procedures, and asset inventories Plan and execute technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements Assist leadership with technology strategy, budgeting, and future technology initiatives Qualifications Experience in IT administration, systems administration, or IT management Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and endpoint management Experience with cybersecurity best practices and business continuity planning Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities independently Preferred Experience supporting transportation, logistics, fleet, or trucking operations Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance best practices Experience managing vendors and technology projects What Success Looks Like Employees receive fast, reliable technical support Company systems remain secure and operational Technology issues are proactively identified and resolved Business leaders have confidence in technology planning and decision-making IT supports growth rather than reacting to problems Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience ($25-$35/hr), benefits package, paid time off, and opportunities to help shape the company's technology future.
