Job Description

We're hiring a Manager, IT Applications Support - Ambulatory & Access to lead and support our Epic Ambulatory, Cadence, ADT, and Home Health application teams. Reporting directly to the Director of Application Services, this role provides day-to-day leadership for a team of clinical application analysts and plays a key role in ensuring our systems are reliable, current, and truly work for the teams who use them. You'll be part strategist, part people leader, and part trusted partner to operational and clinical stakeholders across WakeMed. What you'll do Lead, coach, and support a team of Epic Ambulatory, Cadence, ADT, and Home Health analysts, ensuring high performance and strong engagement Partner closely with the Director of Application Services to define and maintain an application roadmap, build standards, testing protocols, and release management Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering stable, well-supported applications that meet clinical and operational needs Support system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing optimization efforts to meet both immediate and long-term organizational goals Participate as needed on leadership task forces and steering committees to help guide enterprise technology decisions Who you are An experienced IT or application leader with hands-on knowledge of Epic Ambulatory and Access-related modules A collaborative people leader who enjoys mentoring staff and building strong, accountable teams Comfortable working with both technical teams and clinical/operational stakeholders Experienced with application lifecycle management, including testing, release management, and operational sign-off Passionate about using technology to improve workflows, patient access, and care delivery Department Description Serving the community since 1961, WakeMed Health & Hospitals is the leading provider of health services in Wake County.
