Chief Financial Officer Position Summary Bohannan Huston is seeking an experienced IT Professional to help lead the firm's technology function across multiple office locations. The IT department is a well-established and capable team that effectively supports the organization's operations, infrastructure, and user needs. Your Role & Responsibilities The successful candidate will contribute to the planning and maintenance of the organization's data technology operations, including computer hardware, software, and telecommunications; will participate in the evaluation, development, recommendation and installation of solutions specific to the entire organization as well as specific solutions for individual departments; will coordinate, schedule and perform the transition from existing to new platforms and systems; will monitor the needs of the organization vis-a-vis the newest technologies, and will work with organizational leaders to develop technology plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals and standards. Key Responsibilities Technology Guidance and Strategy Provide strategic guidance for the firm's technology environment, ensuring alignment with business priorities and future growth. Identify opportunities to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience across systems and infrastructure. Guide technology investment decisions and long-term planning. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on technology-related opportunities and risks. IT Operations Manage and lead work efforts of IT operations across multiple office locations. Lead a team of IT technicians responsible for hardware and software deployment, end-user support, and day-to-day troubleshooting. Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and a strong user experience across the organization. Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Team Leadership and Development Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff, fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment. Ensure effective delegation of operational responsibilities while maintaining appropriate oversight. Support ongoing development of technical and professional capabilities within the team. Promote knowledge sharing and cross-training to maintain a resilient and adaptable team. Infrastructure and Systems Oversight Oversee the performance, reliability, and scalability of the firm's infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and end-user systems. Ensure effective management of a diverse and integrated technology environment, including: Server and storage platforms (Dell, NetApp). Network and connectivity systems (switching, wireless, firewalls, and circuits). End-user and field technology (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and specialized equipment). Communication and collaboration tools (IP telephony and conferencing systems). Physical security and access control systems. Cybersecurity and Risk Management Lead and advance the firm's cybersecurity program, ensuring appropriate protection of systems and data. Maintain compliance with applicable standards, includingNIST 800-171
Rev. 2. Oversee identity and access management, endpoint protection, and security awareness initiatives. Partner with external providers to ensure effective monitoring and response capabilities. Enterprise Systems and Cloud Environment Oversee the firm's Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID. Ensure effective management of enterprise platforms, including HRIS and monitoring tools (UKG, RMM platforms). Maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities. Vendor and Financial Management Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants. Oversee contract management, renewals, and vendor performance. Assist in developing and managing the IT budget, including capital planning and cost optimization. Facility and Security Systems Oversight Oversee the technology components of facility security systems, including access control and surveillance. Partner with operations or facilities teams to support effective implementation and management. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs. Software and Asset Management Oversee software licensing, maintenance, and renewals across the organization. Ensure effective utilization of software tools and alignment with business needs. Support ongoing evaluation of the technology portfolio. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership of teams and comprehensive involvement in IT operations. Experience managing multi-site IT environments. Experience in engineering, consulting, or professional services environments preferred. Technical and Functional Expertise Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity. Experience with Microsoft cluster, cloud and hybrid environments.
