This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee a broad spectrum of IT operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, robust security, and innovative solutions that drive business growth. As an energetic leader, you will foster a collaborative environment, champion best practices in IT service management, and spearhead projects that enhance operational efficiency and security across the organization. Your expertise will empower teams to leverage technology effectively while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance. Will be responsible for multiple locations and have a working relationship with the European headquarters' IT Chief. Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on infrastructure, security, and innovation. Oversee the management of IT systems including servers, networks, databases, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to ensure optimal performance and security. Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure including LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks), Cisco routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Manage virtualization environments utilizing VMware and vSphere to support scalable and resilient IT services. Coordinate IT projects from initiation through completion using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget. Supervise IT team providing desktop support, server management, remote access solutions, and cybersecurity measures including network security and information security protocols. Conduct vendor management activities for hardware/software procurement, licensing compliance, and service agreements ensuring cost-effective solutions. Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives to safeguard critical data and minimize downtime during incidents or outages. Extensive experience with cloud platforms. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere environments. Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments (Microsoft Windows Server), Linux systems, Active Directory services, DHCP configuration, IIS web server setup, SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server), and SharePoint collaboration tools. Expertise in network engineering covering Cisco routers/switches, LAN/WAN architecture, firewall configuration, VPNs, remote access software solutions, network security protocols, and disaster recovery strategies. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks like ITIL; experience with ServiceNow for incident/request tracking; Jira for project management workflows. Proven ability in managing enterprise databases; performing analysis skills for system optimization; vendor negotiations; project management using Agile methodologies; leadership in supervising technical teams. Strong communication skills paired with organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects effectively while maintaining high standards of technical support. Knowledge of computer networking principles including DHCP setup; network infrastructure design; remote access solutions; business continuity planning; system engineering practices; software development fundamentals are advantageous.
