Infrastructure Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: 1. Manage one unit of information technology staff, provide high-level project management (i.e., may involve staff across units), direct and oversee activities of staff in the Infrastructure/operations unit; responsible for equipment, network support services monitoring and maintenance (e.g., systems administration; virtualization; telecom/department operations; network operations center; user support)

Technology Domain:

an assigned area where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate, select, adapt and modify standard procedures in the resolution of assigned tasks. Employees devise new approaches to problems encountered. The following are illustrative of a technology domain: Workstation support Network Administration Server Administration Business Continuity Telecommunications and Network Connectivity Virtualization 2. Provide direction and/or participate in documenting and communication problem resolutions with other information technology staff and information technology staff involved in maintaining network, servers, and computers; ensure mentorship and/or training to lower level information technology staff; write network maintenance procedures; respond to "production down" problems on 24 hours basis; resolve difficult or technical problems and/or to coordinate operations; attend management-level meetings and provide expert advice to higher level management personnel; research and refer to technical manuals for problem resolution and guidance and attend meeting to discuss projects and to participate in development/revision of automated systems and their associated impact on technology and/or operations; 3. Confer and meet with stakeholders, vendors and/or end users in order to exchange information, resolve difficult or technical problems and/or to coordinate operations; attend management-level meetings and provide expert advice to higher level management personnel; research and refer to technical manuals for problem resolution and guidance and attend meetings to discuss projects and to participate in development/revision of automated systems and their associated impact on data communications/telecommunications and/or network operations; participate in long-range planning for purchasing, designing and installing technology domain solutions, evaluate costs and feasibility of testing equipment and vendor products; oversee activities and provide supervision to contract staff; assist in preparation of budget; work with management and/or team leads to ensure standardization of policies and procedures and quality of services related to telecommunication services and network administration; provide project management; review/evaluate networking software/hardware; perform upgrades with other information technology staff. 4. Meet all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and;
• Five (5) years related work experience; or
• Any combination of education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum qualifications stated above.

From $90,064.00 per year
