Job Description

Data Office Manager (Information Technology Manager 2) Oregon Health Authority | Salem, OR Applying to this job will open a new window on the employer's web site to apply there. Posted Date 4/20/2026 Description The agency is seeking a strategic data leader to guide a team of experienced professionals in managing and advancing enterprise data assets. This role drives the development and execution of comprehensive data strategies, builds strong partnerships across health and human services, and identifies opportunities for improving Oregon Health Authority's ability to make human-centered, data-informed decisions. Working closely with the Office of Information Services, all OHA Divisions, and external partners, the data office manager ensures actionable insights, evaluates emerging technologies, and strengthens the agency's data maturity to support progress toward eliminating health inequities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Able to juggle multiple, diverse shorter-term efforts and develop long-term strategy. Demonstrated success in managing organizational-level strategic change. Able to work collaboratively and foster collaboration amongst team members at all levels. Experience working in a cross-functional role with many partners, multiple priorities, and active streams of work. Demonstrated success with verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels. Skill to prepare and present technical and policy material and issues to non-specialists. Skill to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards.
