Job Description

This position is a hybrid role. Only TN residents will be considered for employment. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in information technology, including leadership or senior technical roles. Experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and compliance-driven environments required, certification(s) preferred. Healthcare, behavioral health, or non-profit experience strongly preferred. Skills & Knowledge Required Knowledge of healthcare technology laws, regulations, and best practices related to HIPAA and HITECH. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and incident response. Knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud services, endpoint management, and system administration. Ability to design and enforce IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to train and support technical staff and end users. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Ability to adapt to change and perform under stressful situations. Access to reliable transportation, auto insurance, and home internet service. Duties & Responsibilities / Principal Activities Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all information technology functions. Partner with VP of Operations to develop and implement IT strategy and policies. Oversee cybersecurity, risk management, incident response, and HIPAA compliance. Manage IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and endpoints. Serve as backup technical support for the System Administrator during absences, escalations, or critical incidents. Define escalation paths, standards, and responsibilities for IT operations. Lead vendor management and the transition from external MSPs to internal IT operations. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure technology supports operational efficiency, security, and organizational growth. Technical Research & Development Lead technical research and development efforts to evaluate emerging technologies that may benefit the organization. Explore, assess, and pilot innovative solutions, including but not limited to artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and data analytics tools. Ensure new technologies are evaluated for cybersecurity risk, HIPAA compliance, ethical use, and alignment with organizational policy. Collaborate with VP of Operations to recommend responsible adoption of advanced technologies that improve efficiency, quality, security, and decision-making. Develop governance frameworks, usage guidelines, and staff education related to emerging technologies, including AI. Other duties and/or tasks as assigned.
