Telecommunications / Network Infrastructure / Data & Transport Engineering Join a fast-paced telecom engineering environment supporting large-scale network infrastructure deployments across Packet Core, Public IP, and next-generation transport networks. This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager with strong construction coordination and telecom infrastructure experience who can successfully drive installation activities, vendor management, material logistics, and field execution for mission-critical network builds. This position plays a key role in coordinating end-to-end install activities for complex telecom deployments including Packet Core, BNG, MSE, PPR, and Public IP initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project leadership skills with technical field knowledge to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with engineering and operational requirements. You will work directly with engineering, field operations, installation vendors, and leadership teams to manage highly visible capital projects supporting critical network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex deployments, solve real-time field challenges, and drive successful project delivery within one of the most demanding and evolving areas of telecommunications infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Lead multiple telecom infrastructure projects from planning through installation and turnover Coordinate and drive Preliminary Engineering Conferences (PECs), site surveys, and installation scheduling activities Manage the complete material lifecycle including ordering, tracking, delivery coordination, and inventory verification Interface with field engineering, operations teams, installation vendors, and construction crews to ensure deployment readiness Interpret engineering designs and communicate project scope, technical requirements, and installation expectations to field teams Drive vendor performance and ensure adherence to project schedules, milestones, and quality standards Proactively identify and resolve project bottlenecks, field issues, and operational risks Support deployment efforts related to Packet Core, BNG, MSE, PPR, TL, PIP, and Public IP network builds Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, budgeting, and capital expense tracking Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workflows, productivity, and installation processes Required Qualifications 3+ years of Project Management experience within telecommunications or network infrastructure environments Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating outsourced vendors and field teams Strong understanding of telecom construction and physical infrastructure including: Fiber ladders and cable ladder systems Structured cabling standards Power requirements and rack elevations Routers, switches, and network equipment installations Experience coordinating field installations, site readiness activities, and deployment logistics Ability to read and interpret engineering designs and installation scopes of work Prior experience with Verizon tools including Canvas and CCP is required Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Suite proficiency for reporting and project tracking Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience managing capital projects, budgets, and material procurement activities Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Packet Core, BNG, MSE, PPR, Public IP, or transport network deployments Familiarity with Juniper and Cisco network equipment Experience with SRM and/or SAP systems for procurement and capital management Engineering or telecom operations background strongly preferred PMP Certification highly preferred Military experience is a plus Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred; Technical Degree strongly preferred Technology & Tools Verizon Canvas Verizon
