We are seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Compliance Manager to serve as our primary internal IT resource and help drive our technology and cybersecurity initiatives.
Position Summary:
The IT Infrastructure & Compliance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day IT support, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, vendor management, and technology projects across multiple facilities. This role will also lead the company's efforts toward achieving and maintaining compliance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable troubleshooting employee technology issues, managing enterprise infrastructure, coordinating external IT partners, and leading strategic technology initiatives that enhance security, reliability, and business performance. This position is based in Bristol, Rhode Island, with occasional travel to our Rhode Island and Pennsylvania facilities.

Essential Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Systems Management Own and manage corporate IT infrastructure across multiple locations. Administer and maintain networks, servers, firewalls, wireless systems, and endpoint devices. Monitor and improve network performance, reliability, and availability. Ensure the integrity and reliability of backup and disaster recovery systems. Administer Microsoft 365 and email systems. Manage and support company phone and communication systems. Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and technology improvements. User Support Provide technical support for approximately 90 users across three facilities. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, printer, and communication system issues. Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including system access and equipment deployment. Maintain hardware inventories and software licensing records. Deliver excellent customer service and user support throughout the organization. Cybersecurity & Compliance Lead implementation and ongoing maintenance of NIST 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 compliance requirements. Support cybersecurity controls related to ITAR-regulated business activities. Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and managed service providers to achieve compliance objectives. Develop, maintain, and improve cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation. Manage endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, vulnerability remediation, and access controls. Develop and maintain incident response and business continuity plans. Respond to cybersecurity questionnaires from customers, auditors, insurance carriers, and regulatory organizations. Vendor Management Serve as the primary liaison for managed service providers, hosted service providers, telecommunications vendors, cybersecurity consultants, and software vendors. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, and project deliverables. Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and security. Project Management Lead technology improvement initiatives, including infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity enhancements, communication system upgrades, and other strategic projects. Manage the selection, replacement, and implementation of company phone systems and related technologies. Develop technology roadmaps and capital expenditure recommendations. Track project timelines, budgets, and outcomes. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure, systems administration, or IT management experience. Experience supporting Windows-based business environments. Experience administering Microsoft 365. Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, backup solutions, and endpoint management. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and take ownership of IT operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or medical device industries. Experience with NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITAR, or other cybersecurity compliance frameworks. Experience working with managed service providers and third-party vendors. Professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar credentials.
