The Senior IT Director, Global Infrastructure & Operations, serves as the enterprise's senior operational leader responsible for the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of CECO Environmental's global technology foundation. This role oversees global infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity operations, service management, and IT operations across all regions, ensuring secure, reliable, scalable, and cost‑effective services that enable CECO's business growth and global footprint delivering an exceptional employee experience. Acting as the VP of IT's primary operational partner, this leader drives execution excellence, modernization, and global standardization across a diverse technology landscape. The Senior IT Director ensures that CECO's hybrid cloud environment, global networks, collaboration platforms, and service operations meet the needs of a complex, multinational manufacturing organization while maintaining a strong security and compliance posture. Working closely with the VP of IT, executive leadership, business stakeholders and other IT leaders, this role translates business strategy, growth initiatives, and M&A activity into modern, standardized, and resilient IT services. This role is ideal for a seasoned global leader who thrives in enterprise environments, excels at operational rigor, and brings deep expertise in infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity operations, and service management. collaboration platforms, and service operations meet the needs of a complex, multinational manufacturing organization while maintaining a strong security and compliance posture. Working closely with the VP of IT, executive leadership, business stakeholders and other IT leaders, this role translates business strategy, growth initiatives, and M&A activity into modern, standardized, and resilient IT services. This role is ideal for a seasoned global leader who thrives in enterprise environments, excels at operational rigor, and brings deep expertise in infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity operations, and service management. Your Responsibilities Will Be Strategy & Technology Leadership Own and execute CECO's Infrastructure & IT Operations strategy and multi‑year roadmap , aligned to business, digital, cybersecurity, and data strategies, in collaboration with the VP of IT and other CECO business leaders. Lead CECO's transition toward cloud-first and service-oriented operations , with Azure as a core platform leveraging and enabling other Microsoft technology offerings. Translate business growth, global operations, and M&A requirements into scalable standardized and resilient technology solutions. Serve as a senior technology advisor to IT and business leadership on infrastructure, cloud, resilience, and operational risk matters and performs other duties of similar nature as assigned. Global Infrastructure, Cloud & Operations Accountable for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of: Enterprise infrastructure (on‑prem and cloud) Microsoft Azure environments (hybrid connectivity, identity, security, governance) Networks (global WAN, LAN, wireless), SD-WAN/SASE End-user computing and collaboration platforms (M365) Establish operational excellence through automation, standardization, and reliability engineering principles with data driven decision making Ensure high availability, performance, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity for all critical systems. IT Service Management (ITIL / ITSM) Design and operate Global ITSM fit‑for‑purpose IT Service Management practices , grounded in ITIL but optimized for business outcomes for a large global organization. Own global Incident, Problem, Change, Major Incident, and Service Request processes. Leverage ITSM platforms and operational data to: Improve service reliability Reduce repeat incidents Enhance user experience Increase transparency for executives and business leaders Define and manage SLAs, OLAs, and service catalogs aligned to business expectations implementing AIOps, automation, and predictive analytics to improve service reliability and reduce operational toil Governance, Risk & Compliance Establish and enforce global infrastructure, cloud, and operational governance frameworks , standards, and reference architectures. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and control frameworks, including
SOX, GDPR, CMMC
, and IT General Controls (ITGC). Own operational aspects of third‑party risk , technology risk assessments, and vendor governance. Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Internal Audit to ensure consistency and control. Cybersecurity & Resilience (Shared Ownership) Own the operational security posture of infrastructure platforms, including: Secure configuration baselines Patch and vulnerability management Backup, disaster recovery, and resilience testing Partner closely with Cybersecurity leadership on: Zero Trust architecture, data protection, Manage the controls and tools in place t Incident response Ransomware readiness and recovery Ensure security is embedded into infrastructure and operational processes from design through execution and implement IT objectives and policies. Manages compliance with the global laws and applicable regulations including
GDPR, SOX, CMMC
utilizing standard frameworks. Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures Lead IT due diligence, integration planning, and post‑acquisition harmonization for global M&A activity Develop and maintain standardized playbooks for onboarding acquired entities into CECO's infrastructure, security, and service ecosystem. Assess technology risk, cost, and operational impact during M&A evaluations. Financial & Vendor Management Own the Infrastructure & Operations budget, including forecasting, cost optimization, and vendor spend and license optimizations across the enterprise globally. Lead cloud cost management and optimization ( FinOps ) practices. Manage strategic vendors, global MSPs, and cloud providers to ensure service quality, value, and risk management. Ensure adherence to software licensing agreements and asset management controls. People Leadership & Organization Development Build, lead, and develop high-performing, globally distributed Infrastructure & Operations teams . Define workforce strategy, including internal capability development, outsourcing, and vendor partnerships. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Coach and mentor leaders while building succession plans and reducing single‑points‑of‑failure. Metrics & Executive Transparency Define and report executive-level KPIs and dashboards covering: Service availability and performance Cost efficiency and cloud spend Risk and resiliency posture User experience and satisfaction Enable data-driven decision making through transparent and actionable insights. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS desired, MBA or MS preferred. Minimum of 20 years in Information Technology and at least 10 years' experience in a management role with direct reports. 10 or more years of related experience at publicly traded manufacturing organization is preferred with demonstrated success leading M&A technology integrations and ability to lead global teams managing MSP's and vendor ecosystems 10 or more years of global customer service and technical experience with Azure, M365, and global WAN is preferred. Demonstrated capability to conceptualize, analyze, and solve technical and business challenges and ability to work with global teams and managed service providers Licensing and Certifications preferred: ITIL v3 / ITIL 4 Foundation or higher Microsoft Azure certifications (Architect, Administrator, or equivalent) Relevant security or governance certifications (CISM, CISSP, or similar) a plus Travel Requirements (Requirement): Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35%
