Professional Pay Scale (commensurate with experience) Primary Purpose To provide leadership and strategic planning in the development, implementation and evaluation of technology and information systems in a way that enhances and improves instruction and district services. QualificationsMinimum Education/Certification:
- Post-secondary education in the field of technology
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of communication and network design
- Knowledge of computer networks, hardware and software applications
- Knowledge of computer applications development and implementation
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to coordinate district functions in a high growth area with limited funds/resources
- Ability to develop and implement policy and procedures, including strategic and long-range planning
- Ability to interpret data
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum Experience:
- Three years of experience in supervision and management of an information systems and/or technology department Major Responsibilities and Duties Leadership Articulate the District's mission to the community and solicit its support in realizing the mission.
Mental/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Ability to concentrate (detailed work), communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures and data; reason, understand verbal instructions, analyze, differentiate, memorize, read, coordinate district functions, compile, compute, instruct, and maintain emotional control under stress. Light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds), sitting, walking (across all district campuses), reaching above shoulders, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speech, driving, travel (frequent district-wide and occasional statewide), outside and inside, frequent prolonged and irregular hours.
