Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Information Technology to lead our organization's technology vision and operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive IT strategies that support business growth, security, and innovation. Your leadership will drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, ensure robust cybersecurity measures, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy aligned with overall business objectives, ensuring scalable and secure infrastructure. Lead enterprise-wide initiatives including cloud computing solutions (AWS, Azure), virtualization (vSphere), and network infrastructure enhancements such as MPLS, VPNs, DNS, and WAN optimization. Oversee the management of IT systems including databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB), application development (React, Angular, Node.js, PHP, .NET), and software lifecycle management (SDLC). Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols in compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS and NIST standards; manage network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software licenses, cloud services, and consulting support to optimize costs and service quality. Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives to ensure operational resilience against disruptions. Supervise system administration tasks including Active Directory management, server management (Windows/Linux), virtualization environments (vSphere), SAN storage solutions, and system monitoring tools. Drive innovation through emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, DevOps practices, APIs integration, and application development frameworks to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee project management efforts utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of IT projects while managing budgets effectively. Promote a culture of security awareness by conducting regular training sessions on information security best practices for staff at all levels. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations related to data privacy (including GDPR) and intellectual property law; uphold IT governance policies across all departments. Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with strategic business goals; communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience Proven track record as an IT executive or senior leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale IT operations across diverse environments. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience designing hybrid cloud architectures. Strong background in network administration including DNS management, VoIP systems, MPLS networks, VPNs, WAN optimization, and network security protocols. Expertise in database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MongoDB; proficiency in ETL processes for data warehousing solutions. Hands-on experience with application development using frameworks like ReactJS/ExpressJS, AngularJS, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with .NET/C# programming languages. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (vSphere), SAN storage solutions, Linux/Unix systems administration, and server management best practices. Knowledge of cybersecurity standards including PCI DSS compliance; experience implementing comprehensive security measures across enterprise networks. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies; strong project management skills from initiation through deployment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to executive leadership and non-technical staff alike.
