Job Description

Information Technology (IT) Department Manager Odd Fellow Rebekah Home Association Inc is looking to grow their team by hiring an IT Manager for our skilled nursing and assisted living facility near downtown Green Bay!
Position Summary:
Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible to manage IT Department operations. This position requires a highly motivated, self-directed person who is energized to meet the challenges of implementing a host of diverse projects, maintaining computer technology, and extending the functionality of a healthcare organization. Requires an accomplished individual with the ability to effectively manage others as well as support current hardware and software products. Manager needs to be able to work well with others to resolve department issues. A high degree of pride in one's work and an insistence on quality is required. Should also be interested in sharing knowledge with everyone in the organization. Manage computer systems to determine expansion or enhancement needs for hardware, software and infrastructure. Seek, manage and evaluate other recommendations for improvements with computer systems. Plan, manage and coordinate work projects such as installing or converting to new hardware or software. Manage and direct all aspects and requirements of the Network Active Directory structure. Develop and manage an all-inclusive comprehensive network disaster recovery plan. Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. Manage network security, virus threats, internet and web usage to ensure network systems are not compromised. Develop network reports on operations and security as required by directors or management. Develop network procedures for security, network intrusion and internal or external threats. Manage all aspects of HIPAA compliance to include policies, inspections and reporting. Manage IT Operational Security levels and Web/mail assessments. Ability to interface with other department managers for the purpose of coordinating IT projects and support. Manage as well as be able to install and configure, maintain, and upgrade hardware, software and infrastructure. Prepare, configure, and install new hardware. Install/upgrade software applications, including operating systems, databases, etc. Install new hardware and software upgrades on existing computer equipment. Analyze, troubleshoot, and solve hardware and software problems. Diagnose and repair or replace defective hardware when possible or arrange for repair or replacement when necessary. Follow standardized build procedures to insure network consistencies Document configurations or changes as required to any new, existing or upgraded hardware device or software application to ensure confidentiality and security is controlled. Ensure all hardware devices are in strict compliance with established Software Licensing Policies. Perform hardware and software audits as required by Policy. Allow flexibility in work schedule during evenings and weekends to minimize downtime. Ensure system logs, histories and configurations are documented and kept current. Manage end‑user technical support. Manage user requests for assistance in resolving computer‑related problems such as inoperative hardware or software; prioritize these requests. Train new users on network login, HIPAA, and policies. Monitor and track all help desk requests. Maintain a level of communication with users regarding the status of any service requests. Maintain acceptable work standards. Keep work environment safe and organized. Maintain an acceptable record of attendance and promptness according to organization policy. Dress to meet company standards. Other duties Allow for occasional travel to venders or suppliers. Compose correspondence free of errors. Communicate and cooperate in a helpful, courteous manner. Use proper lines of communications. Attend all required in‑service programs provided by the facility. Perform other related duties as assigned/required. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree (BS) in Information Technology/Computer Science or related relevant degree with five to six years computer experience or an Associate degree (AS) with six to eight years of experience including network security experience in a network intense environment. A combination of education and applicable experience may also be accepted in lieu of a degree. Preferred Skills Certification or hands on equivalent experience of the latest network hardware and Microsoft Operating Systems including a knowledge of current marketplace software applications and databases. Intermediate knowledge in LAN and Wan topology as it relates to routers, hubs and switches. Experience in the operation and repair of computer hardware using current versions of Microsoft products required in a medium to large network setting. Experience in Internet/Intranet management and HIPAA is also highly desirable.
Other Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of Network support/administration software. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under high stress conditions. Working knowledge of aspects of LAN/WAN infrastructure and network operating systems.
Physical Demands:
Duties of this position require the employee to sit, stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
