POSITION SUMMARY
The Computer Science Teacher& IT Manager is a hybrid role essential to our school's mission. The successful candidate will split their time between direct classroom instruction (grades 6-8) and the comprehensive management of the school's information technology system.

Experience:
2+ years in IT systems administration or hardware management. Previous experience in a Charter or Core Knowledge school is preferred but not required.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER
Plans and prepares for classroom instruction. Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for grades 6-8 following the Wyoming Computer Science Content & Performance Standards. Adapts teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and grade levels (6-8). Utilizes appropriate assessment strategies to measure learning and performance. Provides equity in the classroom by providing equal opportunity for students regardless of race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, background, and abilities. Communicates with and constantly strives to maintain a positive relationship with students and parents. Manages student behavior in the classroom. Responds appropriately to student behavior in the total school environment by enforcing school rules in hallways, on school grounds, in other school areas away from the classroom, and on school-sponsored trips. Organizes the classroom to promote learning, student safety, and ensures classroom equipment functions in a safe manner. Participates in professional growth (such as professional organizations, coursework, workshops, and conferences) and other professional activities (such as school committees or councils). Follows the policies and procedures of the school and the District. Demonstrates a sense of professional responsibility, such as demonstrating ethical behavior; providing accurate data and reports when needed; meeting deadlines; maintaining confidentiality; caring for the equipment and materials; and dressing appropriately and presenting a good role model. Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development as required. Other duties as assigned.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - IT MANAGER
Act as a mentor to fellow staff, helping them effectively use classroom tech to enhance student outcomes. Maintain a meticulous, real-time inventory of all student and staff devices. Track assignments, locations, and hardware health. Act as the primary point of contact for hardware troubleshooting. Perform in-house basic repairs and manage RMAs/warranty claims for major hardware failures. Research, vet, and purchase all new hardware and software. Manage vendor relationships to ensure the school receives education-tier pricing. Develop and maintain a multi-year hardware rotation plan (e.g., a 4-year refresh cycle) to ensure no equipment becomes obsolete and that budget needs are predictable. Onboard new employees by configuring workstations, managing credentials, and providing "Day 1" tech orientations. Manage Google Workspace for Education, MDMs (Securly), Microsoft 365, security cameras and Avaya phone system. Ensure the school meets all FERPA, COPPA, and CIPA digital security requirements.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to use effective communication skills; knowledge of education law and regulations; ability to use time effectively; good organizational skills; ability to maintain a positive relationship with other staff by collaborating and working cooperatively with them (including supervisors); knowledge of physiological, psychological, emotional, and educational behavioral development of children and/or adolescents; ability to lead meetings; and ability to help groups achieve consensus. Proficient in MDM software, Google Admin Console and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with spreadsheet-based or software-based inventory management. Basic hardware repair skills (screen replacement, battery swaps, etc.). Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and differentiate instruction accordingly. Proficiency in technology integration and use of educational software and tools.

Pay:
$60,325.00 - $90,000.00 per year
