Long Beach, CA (Onsite/Hybrid Preferred) $170,000 Base Salary Overview We are seeking a highly technical Project Manager to oversee the continued development, vendor coordination, and long-term ownership of a core business application platform. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the external development team, ensuring projects, enhancements, bug fixes, and future development initiatives remain organized and on track. The ideal candidate understands modern software development environments and can confidently engage with engineers, review technical work, manage priorities, and oversee delivery timelines - without necessarily being the primary hands-on developer. This is a strong fit for someone who comes from a software engineering, systems, or technical product/project management background and enjoys owning the full lifecycle of application development efforts.

GitHub Responsibilities Manage and oversee ongoing software development initiatives and vendor-delivered work Track and prioritize bugs, enhancements, feature requests, and development roadmaps Work closely with external development partners to ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables are met Review technical work and communicate effectively with engineering teams Coordinate sprint planning, backlog management, and story tracking Translate business needs into actionable technical tasks and priorities Help drive continued application improvements and long-term platform scalability Monitor development progress and identify risks, blockers, or gaps proactively Maintain visibility into architecture, workflows, and system functionality Partner with internal stakeholders to prioritize ongoing development opportunities Ensure proper documentation, process organization, and development transparency Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Technical Program Management, or Software Engineering leadership Strong understanding of modern software development environments and application architecture Familiarity with: TypeScript Python Redis Azure cloud environments GitHub workflows Experience managing software vendors or outsourced development teams Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and story tracking Ability to understand technical conversations and evaluate engineering work without necessarily being deeply hands-on coding daily Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills Experience overseeing production applications and ongoing development cycles Robert Half will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
