What to Expect The Tesla Energy & Charging Software team is responsible for developing and operating the software for Tesla's products for power generation, energy storage, vehicle charging, and grid services. These include the integrated residential product experience (Powerwall, Solar Roof, Wall Connector, Storm Watch), commercial and industrial products (Megapack, Powerhub), vehicle charging (Supercharger, Wall Connector), and grid services (Virtual Power Plants, Autobidder, energy-market participation). The Program Manager will be an integral part of the engineering team and responsible for driving program execution across the organization. The Technical Program Manager will report to the Director of the software organization and work closely with a team of passionate software engineers as well as partner product development and engineering teams. The work of the Program Manager will be critical to accelerating flagship Tesla Energy products, expanding the Tesla Supercharging network, growing deployments of utility scale Megapack power plants and expanding the reach of Tesla Powerwall and Virtual Power Plants. What You'll Do
Drive software planning and programs across weeks, quarters and years
Regularly interface with the product leaders and ensure the software organization is aligned to execute on the most important initiatives while balancing competing priorities
Consolidate inputs from across teams into executive reviews highlighting risks and opportunities, successes and areas for improvement
Maximize engineering team velocity by limiting work in progress and reducing team context switching
Provide project leadership, foster collaboration, bring together teams to solve critical problems, and drive initiatives to completion
Enable high velocity disturbed decision making by driving alignment of strategic goals
Help the team find the process that helps them the most for structured work and communication What You'll Bring
Proven success delivering great products in a role of either a product or program manager or engineering leader
Excellent written and spoken communication
A passion for solving problems at the nexus of products, engineering, humans and organizations
A strong sense of urgency in achieving Tesla's mission through high velocity engineering
Ability to synthesize complex information across organizations to drive decision making with engineers and executives
Ability to rapidly understand high level software & engineering concepts as it applies to program execution

Expected Compensation
$112,000 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
