7214 - Senior IT Project Manager Digital Transformation & AI Initiatives (Must Reside in Sacramento to be Considered) IT Project Manager (Onsite Sacramento, CA) Overview Seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate enterprise-level technology initiatives. This role will drive projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, stakeholder expectations, and strategic modernization efforts, including emerging technologies such as AI. This is a hands-on project management role requiring strong leadership, communication, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage IT projects from initiation through delivery Define project scope, approach, timelines, and deliverables Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reporting Manage project scope, risks, resources, and financials Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners Drive alignment between business goals and technical solutions Track project progress and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery Facilitate meetings, status updates, and executive-level communications Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues/escalations Support development and delivery of digital solutions and modernization initiatives Utilize tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Project, Visio, and ServiceNow Lead or support Agile practices (Scrum/Sprint planning as needed) Provide leadership, direction, and task management for project teams Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience managing multiple mid-sized or complex IT projects Proven ability to develop project plans, schedules, and delivery strategies Strong experience managing scope, risk, resources, and budgets Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget Experience working across cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Experience with full project lifecycle (initiation through implementation) Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, SharePoint) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working within government or public sector environments PMP certification or Agile/Scrum certification Experience with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) or emerging technologies Experience with case management or data systems Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives
