Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This IT Project Manager position provides leadership and oversight for multiple concurrent high-complexity products, efforts, and delivery teams executing implementations in multi-discipline business areas. The role focuses on delivering Information Technology solutions to internal business groups through new or improved practices, procedures, techniques, or systems. Implementation is facilitated through cross-functional teams that are not direct reports and are shared resources, composed of individuals from multiple departments, business units, and geographical locations. Efforts may involve coordinating and integrating teams in a Waterfall or Iterative manner, leveraging influencing skills and the ability to execute. The Project Manager is expected to be self-driven and manage the overall project with minimal direction or supervision. Key Responsibilities- Focus on delivering Information Technology solutions to internal business groups involving new or improved practices, procedures, techniques or systems.
- Implement solutions through multiple small to large cross-functional teams which are not direct reports and are shared resources.
- Coordinate, integrate, and work with teams in a Waterfall or Iterative manner.
- Facilitate workshops with SMEs and Product Owners to contribute valuable work items to a product backlog for delivering prioritized features/capabilities.
- Ensure teams incorporate feedback from customers, end users, and key stakeholders to continually increase value.
- Develop estimates for schedules, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience, and provide continual improvement guidance.
- Work with internal and external technology suppliers and Product Owners to ensure an accurate product/solution budget and manage to it.
- Identify capacity-related risks, recommend potential mitigation, and escalate and remediate appropriately.
- Manage scope, communicating risks to scope, timeline, and budget, and resolve issues.
- Identify, escalate, and assist in the resolution of resource constraints, conflicts, and impediments.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to meet program and project deliverables and benefit cases.
- Prepare, present, and review delivered features and capabilities regularly with Product Owners and stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master.
- 5+ years of experience working with 3+ teams simultaneously.
- 5+ years of experience managing 3 to 4 implementation projects.
- 5+ years of experience in all facets of the software development life cycle (requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, release cycle, support).
- 5+ years of experience with Agile execution is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working with Product Owners.
- 5+ years of expertise running story workshops that create product backlogs and story maps.
- 5+ years in sprint and program increment planning that produces consistent metrics and frequent delivery of working product.
- 5+ years of experience using Azure DevOps or similar applications for project tracking. Preferred Qualifications
- Certification(s) in PMP, SAFe, and/or CSP or PMI-ACP.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure (Network, Database, Server) technologies and concepts.
- Mastery of Office 365 applications (MS Project, Outlook, Teams, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, etc.).
- Great knowledge and demonstrated expertise in applying Agile best practices, Scrum ceremonies, and scaled Agile practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a highly collaborative fashion.
