Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Experience in applying data analysis techniques to diagnose system issues and model future state scenarios.

Preferred qualifications:

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in software development or programming, with the ability to read or make minor code changes. Ability to work with ambiguous data sets and come up with insights. Ability to conceive and accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion. Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to deliver solutions in an always changing environment. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As the Technical Program Manager, you will coordinate across engineering teams to solve problems in compute resource management. You will partner with supply chain, data center infrastructure, and software engineering to design the future of global resource management. This includes identifying efficiency opportunities, balancing resource distribution against infrastructure and budgetary constraints, and implementing tools and policies to optimize the engineering stack. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Manage projects and data analysis to ensure computing power (e.g., processing and memory) is budgeted and distributed across the company, leading programs that reduce waste to achieve goals. Lead analytical efforts to model future computing demand and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure the right amount of hardware is deployed globally. Shape the strategy and rules for how computing resources are shared company-wide, while defining the requirements for the software tools that automate shared resources. Collaborate with engineering and business teams to redesign how we track and manage the supply/demand of computing power, ensuring data systems support a global view of hardware. Lead the step-by-step transition of internal business units from managing their own demand to a centralized, shared model, ensuring that each team's specific technical needs are met during the migration.
