Job Description

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Help manage budgets related to vendor contracts that support the inpatient area. Leads and coordinates the design and production of identified projects that are consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization while having regard for innovative solutions, value management, cost effectiveness and functional efficiency. Acts as a business and clinical liaison for all departments throughout the health system. Understands core system processes and interdependencies. Directs the work efforts of and provides leadership to all application staff to support the planning, design, implementation, and operational needs of the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, project management, resource planning, integration management, interface administration, proactive maintenance, support and triage, application implementation, and testing. Manages vendor, consultant, and other third-party relationships and contracts appropriately and professionally, while maintaining the best interest of the health system. Facilitates contracting process for relevant vendors with Materials Management. Works collaboratively with leadership and other team members in the Information Services Division. Leads the division by example in professionalism, values, initiative, problem solving and customer service. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested to maintain a high level of service. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree a plus. A minimum of 15 years of experience (5 years management) implementing and supporting HIS applications to improve Patient Safety and Revenue Cycle is required. Strong experience managing staff and projects is required.
