Job Profile Summary Under general direction, this position is a critical role in ensuring that all Information Technology projects are managed well, delivered on-time and within scope. Key responsibilities include project plan maintenance, assigning resources and ensuring deadlines are met, monitoring project budget versus actuals, preparing project status reports and analytics, managing the functional requirements process and delivery assessments, tracking project risks and issues, ensuring Project Management Office (PMO) standards and methodology are followed, and overall administrative tasks within the project are maintained and completed. Collaborates with the implementation partner/vendor to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. Additionally, promotes empowerment of project team while encouraging a sustainable pace with high levels of quality.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree required with course work in business administration, information technology, or in a field focused upon applications of technology or business process management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum Experience/Training:
Six years of progressively responsible experience in portfolio and project management with implementations in cross-functional, complex organizations.
Minimum Certification/Licenses:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus but not required. CompTIA Project + Certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.
Essential Functions:
Daily
- 75%: Project Management
- Develops, executes and manages project deliverables using project artifacts such as Project Charter, Vendor Statement of Work (SOW), Project Plan.
Meeting coordination including logistics and agendas, resource scheduling and assignments, risk assessments and controls, project plan maintenance, management of task/milestone completion by larger project team, identification/resolution of project obstacles, and project status reports. Ensures PMO standards and methodology are followed throughout the project. Daily
- 10%: Budget Management
- Develops and maintains project budget review process to ensure budget versus actuals are on track and escalate as needed. Prepares budget status reports and serves as the escalation point for issues. Daily
- 10%: Functional Requirements Management
- Ensures processes are followed when new functional requirements are identified. Forecasts and communicates current and projected opportunities of change. Other, as Needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In-depth functional knowledge and expertise in development and execution of project plans and delivery of results. Requires application of professional theories to conduct analytical/problem-solving and technical skills. Demonstrated success in leading, initiating, researching, evaluating, planning, organizing and directing with the purpose to ensure sound, best-practice standards are in place and provide direction to the project goals and objectives. Experience managing cross-functional teams composed of both internal and 3rd-party resources as well as resources distributed across multiple geographic locations. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong understanding of project implementation lifecycle. Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities in both individual and team settings. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization. Ability to exchange information and collaborate with colleagues and peers within the College.
