Projects focus on data analytics and other components of data strategy, as well as application development, systems integration, and the software development lifecycle. This position will clearly and professionally communicate objectives, progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders. Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Create detailed project plans for completion of tasks that consider schedules, dependencies, institutional priorities, and resource limitations and conflicts.
Apply formal project management principles and practices during the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and completion of projects.
Coordinate efforts of project teams to facilitate cooperation and prevent delays.
Develop and maintain standard project management documentation, such as project charters, project plans, timeline visuals, risk registers, issues logs, meeting agendas and summaries, and project status reports.
Proactively oversee project execution by following up on the completion of tasks, reporting potential delays to management, and coordinating problem resolution efforts in the event of technical difficulties.
Focus on F&A/UHR Data Strategy projects and tasks. Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities Manage application development and system integration projects, including phases such as software design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Coordinate technical projects that require knowledge of application development, systems integration, and the software development lifecycle.
Utilize best practices for continuous improvement and industry standards, software development methodologies such as DevOps.
Assist project teams in software evaluation, procurement, and vendor management processes to carry out technical projects.
Develop and maintain various systems analysis documentation to capture data flow, system architecture, specifications, and quality assurance information. Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities Lead or attend regular meetings to update leadership, staff, clients, and the UGA community on the progress of projects.
Clearly and professionally communicate objectives, progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
Convey project team questions, updates, or concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
Respond to inquiries about project details from leadership and project team members in a timely manner.
Develop and facilitate formal presentations to project stakeholders and committees when needed.
Coordinate communications between functional and technical teams.
